10-STEP CUSTOMER PROCESS

Every project is unique, but our approach is built around communication, transparency, and craftsmanship. Here's a general overview of how we work—from the first conversation to project completion.

1. Free Consultation:

Start with a personalized phone call or email to share your vision. This first step is our chance to introduce ourselves, understand your goals, and confirm that we’re a good fit.

• We’ll discuss your needs, timeline, and overall project goals.
• This conversation helps establish clarity and alignment.
• Note: Free consultations are usually by phone or email. Onsite visits are scheduled separately and may involve a fee.

 

2. Onsite Visit:

A site visit allows us to better understand the space and clarify the scope of work.

• Site visit fees may apply but are often credited toward the final contract.
• We’ll walk through your goals and any potential challenges.
• We’ll discuss design ideas, feasibility, and next steps in the estimating process.

 

3. Estimate:

We usually start with a high-level range of costs, especially if design and materials aren’t finalized yet. This helps give you a sense of budget and scope.

• When possible, we’ll provide a more accurate estimate based on the site visit and information available.

• The detail we can provide depends on the scope of services and how far along your planning is.

• In most cases, we offer a free ballpark estimate after a site visit—just note that it’s not a detailed breakdown.
• If the estimate looks good and you’re ready to move forward, we’ll request a planning deposit or enter into a Preconstruction Services Agreement for larger projects.

 

4. Planning and Preconstruction Services:

This phase is all about planning with precision.

• Finalize material selections and key design elements.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, and subcontractors as needed.
• Provide rough sketches as part of the planning process, when applicable.
• 3D renderings may be available for an additional fee—just let us know if that’s something you’re interested in.
• Prepare a detailed contract outlining the scope, budget, timeline, and payment schedule.
• We walk you through everything so you feel informed and confident.

 

5. Plan:

Once under contract, we prepare for construction.

• Coordinate logistics like parking, site access, daily schedule, and any family needs.
• Confirm a start date and ensure everyone is on the same page.
• Our goal is to build efficiently, respectfully, and with minimal disruption.

 

6. Demo:

We begin with a clean and careful approach to demo.

• Conduct careful and precise demolition.

• Prioritize safety, minimize disruption, and responsibly dispose of materials.

• Provide family-safe building practices such as dust barriers, protection, and follow safety procedures as needed.

 

7. Build:

This is where your vision becomes reality.

• Implement the detailed plan with a focus on quality control.

• Provide regular updates and maintain transparent communication.

• Uphold professionalism and leave the workspace clean daily.

 

8. Complete:

Before we call it done, we make sure everything is right—down to the last detail.

• We begin with an internal punch list, reviewing and addressing any items our team identifies.
• Once that’s complete, we schedule a walkthrough with you to review the finished work and create a final homeowner punch list.
• Any outstanding items are completed promptly.
• Our goal is a smooth handoff and a result you’re truly happy with.

 

9. Workmanship Warranty:

We stand behind our work.

• A standard 90-day workmanship warranty is included with all projects.
• For larger remodels, we offer a one-year labor warranty.
• We’re happy to clarify what’s covered—just ask.

 

 

10. Ongoing Communication:

Even after your project is complete, we’re still here for you.

• We remain available for questions, referrals, or future project ideas.
• Many of our clients return for their next remodel or refer us to friends and neighbors—and we’re honored by that.
